Rising COVID cases in the First State are forcing one upcoming event to rethink its plans.
Downtown Milford Inc., and Gable Music Ventures are postponing the Milford Ladybug Festival, scheduled for October 2, 2021.
Organizers say because the event is free to attend, it would be next to impossible to check vaccination status, or recent COVID tests.
The organizers also note the layout of the event, with stages located in several different areas of Milford’s downtown, makes social distancing very challenging.
They plan to return in 2022.
