Wesley College football readies for another NCAA Tournament run

Wesley College’s football team is headed NCAA Division III playoffs for a 13th straight year.

The 9-1 Wolverines will entertain Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in a first round contest this Saturday.

Wesley is ranked 13th in the nation and champion of the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  The Wolverines have won their last 12 opening round NCAA tourney contests and are 22-2 all-time at home in NCAA tourney games.

RPI is 8-2 and making its first in playoffs appearance in 10 years after winning the Liberty League title.

Saturday’s noon kick-off in Dover will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
