MegaMillions jackpot reaches all-time record level

A record lottery prize is up for grabs Tuesday night.

The MegaMillions jackpot for this evening’s drawing sits at $1.6 billion dollars after no one had a winning ticket Friday.

That tops the previous record of $1.586 billion – a Powerball jackpot shared by three winners in January 2016.

The last MegaMillions win came back on July 24th.  25 drawings have been held since with no winner.

Delaware has never had a MegaMillions jackpot winner.  The odds of winning are one in over 302 million.

And if you miss on MegaMillions, there’s another big prize out there in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

That jackpot is now at $620 million.  That’s the sixth biggest all-time.

The First State’s last Powerball win came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.

The odds of winning Powerball are about one in 292 million.
