Delaware Prosperity Partnership unveils "Zoom Prospector"

Delaware Prosperity Partnership
Businesses looking to relocate to, or expand in Delaware, can get some help from a new online tool.

Businesses looking to locate in Delaware have a new tool to help them find properties in the area.

It’s called Zoom Locator, and the site location tool is a newest addition to the Delaware Prosperity Partnership’s website.

“It’s a tool meant to help someone who is looking for information to make decisions about where to locate their business or how to grow their business. And it brings together a whole variety of tools to either someone’s smart device or their computer,” said Kurt Foreman the president and CEO of DPP.

Foreman says it offers access to information on properties available statewide and other key data businesses often use to make decisions.

“We  want to make sure that Delaware businesses and businesses who might be looking at Delaware have every advantage that lots of other places have. And the data is available and we wanted to deliver it in a convenient way that allows them to do their homework when and how they want to,” Foreman said.

He says more than 97% of site selection research is done online. This tool helps streamline that research, allowing developers to see aerial and street level views of locations.  It also provides information on whether sites are brownfields, waiting to be redeveloped, or completely undeveloped - as well as wetlands and floodplain data.

Other information available on Zoom Prospector includes workforce and demographic data such as education and income levels, spending patterns, available educational options, and nearby amenities.

The tool can be found at the Delaware Prosperity Partnership’s website.

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership was created in 2017 to lead the state of Delaware’s economic development efforts.
