2018 Candidate Conversations: State Attorney General

The 2018 election cycle is now moving into full swing.

As part of our election coverage, Delaware Public Media is offering a series a Candidate Conversations - including in the race for State Attorney General.

We’ve reached out to all candidates that have filed to run in the races for U.S. House and  U.S. Senate, as well as the races for state Attorney General, State Auditor and State Treasurer and invited them to sit down with us. Candidates in each race are being asked the same set of questions to allow you to get to know then and compare them.

In the race for Delaware Attorney General, incumbent Democrat Matt Denn chose not to run for another term.  That prompted 4 Democrats to throw their hats in the ring to replace him.  Kathy Jennings, Chris Johnson, Tim Mullaney and LaKresha Roberts will face off in a Democratic primary next month.  There is currently no Republican on the ballot after Peggy Marshall Thomas dropped out of the race in mid-August.  State GOP officials quicklu moved to replace her with longtime Democrat Bernard Pepukayi, who has has served as a Delaware Family Court Commissioner,  New Castle County Attorney and Legal Counsel for former Democratic Gov. Ruth Ann Minner.

Candidate Conversations are part of Delaware Debates 2018, a collaboration between Delaware Public Media and the University of Delaware's Center for Political Communication.
